Things around the Fisher house have been just chugging along. I know I've been neglecting the blog lately, and I could make the excuse that we've been sick, but really I've just not felt like writing much.
First off, I want to share photos of a few cute crafts I've make.
Here is a photo of a little dress I made for a friend who recently was baptised at our church. It was my first attempt at making my own pattern and so it probably wasn't the best idea to use it for a gift, but it turned out ok in the end. I think I want to make a few changes so I guess little baby Juliana will just end up getting a second (more improved) dress here in the near future. It is nice to have lots of friends with little girls to craft for.
I also wanted to share a photo of this cute craft we made at my church Mom's group. If you can't tell this is a little photo or note holder made out of a binder clip. It was quick and easy and cute. I can envision making these with all kinds of different papers and ribbons for different occasions. Luckily I had a little photo from our beach vacation last year to put into it.
Next I am sharing some haircut photos. Yup, you read that right, we have officially given up on the long hair experiment. I will say that I was kind of against this experiment from the beginning, but I went along with it just to see how things would turn out. I always prefer an easier option, and combing knots out of a screaming kid's hair in the morning doesn't seem easy to me. It was always one of the benefits of having sons that I didn't have to deal with hair struggles, until this experiment came along. When Curtis had his first soccer team practice last weekend and his hair was in his eyes the whole time, it became clear to all three of the Fisher guys that it was time for a cut.
As you can see Clark wasn't that thrilled with the process. They had been growing their hair for a couple months, so we got a lot of hair off. They both look older with their crew cuts now and I am much happier with the ease of care. I know if I was a boy I would totally keep my head shaved.
And the last photo I am sharing today is one of me and my beloved all dressed up for the baptism. It is pretty rare that the two of us get dressed in anything more than t-shirts and jeans and soccer shorts, so I had to get a photo of this occasion. I must say, I do believe we clean up pretty nicely, especially considering we were still trying to kick this bad cold we have when this was taken.
So there you have it...now all of my bleaders are caught up on what's been happening lately in the Fisher family. Stay tuned for soccer team photos coming soon.

I do think that little dress is so cute! Sorry that the long hair deal did not work out. Guess you will be the only one in the family with long hair now! I am sure the boys feel better especially with the warm weather coming it but poor Clark!!! He sure did not look like he was having much fun. Nice photo of you and your hubby. You both clean up real good!!!!!
